Headsend surprise-releases debut EP 'Angel Glands'

Rising Australian grunge trio Headsend surprise-released their debut EP 'Angel Glands' on March 26. The band also announced UK live shows, including slots at The Great Escape festival in Brighton. The EP features tracks such as 'Stove', 'Chugg', 'And Angel' and 'Do Do'.

The three-piece band, consisting of Rasmus King, Kyuss King and Bon Soric, has gained attention over the past year with support slots for acts including Wunderhorse, Tool and AC/DC. Their new EP 'Angel Glands' was recorded live in-studio by producer Nick DiDia, known for work with Pearl Jam, Rage Against the Machine and Stone Temple Pilots. It aims to replicate the band's intense live energy and unfiltered charisma on stage, with hard-hitting tracks like 'Stove' and 'Chugg', alongside earlier releases 'And Angel' and the recent single 'Do Do' on March 26, a Thursday. Headsend announced 2026 UK dates: May 15 at Charles Street Tap for an official Great Escape showcase; May 16 at Sounds Australia on the Deep End Stage; and May 18 at Brixton Windmill in London. Tickets are available via the band's channels. The Great Escape, billed as the festival for new music, runs May 13-16 in Brighton. This year's line-up features Peaches headlining a Spotlight Show at Brighton Dome Concert Hall, alongside The Lottery Winners, Villanelle, BIG WETT and others. The Kooks will perform a special 20th anniversary Spotlight Show presented by NME. Last year's edition was led by English Teacher, Skunk Anansie, Maruja and The Molotovs, with Pete Doherty and Warmduscher on the Spotlight bill.
