Latam closes 2025 with record of 87.4 million passengers

In December 2025, Latam transported 7.9 million passengers, 7.6% more than in the same month the previous year. Consolidated capacity, measured in available seat kilometers (ASK), rose 10.9%, while traffic in revenue passenger kilometers (RPK) increased 10.5%. This led to an occupancy factor of 84.5% for the month.

Network expansion was significant: ten new routes were launched in December, including two long-haul international ones such as Santiago-Buenos Aires (Ezeiza)-Miami and Guayaquil-New York. Throughout 2025, the airline opened eight new destinations, highlighting Fernando de Noronha, Curazao, and Tucumán. Latam now connects 160 destinations in 27 countries.

In the cargo segment, consolidated capacity reached 731 million available ton-kilometers (ATK) in December. Routes with the highest daily flight frequency included Cuzco-Lima, São Paulo (Congonhas)-Río de Janeiro (Santos Dumont), Bogotá-Medellín, Arequipa-Lima, and Brasilia-São Paulo (Congonhas).

Roberto Alvo, CEO of Latam Airlines Group, addressed regional challenges: “We have a hurdle in air infrastructure that limits growth possibilities.” In Colombia, the airline carried 10 million passengers over the year.
