Lif Lindesberg lost the decisive second match of the Allsvenskan Direkt off 1 herr qualifier series to IFK Ystad, 33–37 away, after a 25–29 home defeat in the first match. IFK Ystad won the best-of-three series 2–0. Coach Joakim Bååk called it a step forward despite the miss.
Having lost the opener at home 25–29, Lif Lindesberg fell 33–37 (14–17) in Saturday's away match at IFK Ystad, ending the series 0–2.
IFK Ystad advances to Allsvenskan, while Lif Lindesberg remains in division 1.
"It is a step forward even if it is hard to see it right now," Bååk said, praising the team's run to the final qualifier round.
