McLaren launches Google Gemini livery for British Grand Prix

McLaren has unveiled a special one-off livery for its cars at this weekend's British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The design features a predominantly chrome colour scheme developed in partnership with Google Gemini.

The Woking-based team drew inspiration from its debut car, the McLaren M2B, which competed at the 1966 Monaco Grand Prix. The launch also marks the team's recent milestone of contesting its 1000th Grand Prix.

Louise McEwen, chief marketing officer at McLaren Racing, said the livery celebrates the team's origins and ongoing innovation. "Our partnership with Google Gemini is grounded in those same principles," she added.

Marvin Chow, vice president of consumer and AI marketing at Google, highlighted how McLaren uses the technology for creativity and trackside strategy. Fans can view the livery up close at a joint activation in East London on Thursday.

McLaren is the second team to introduce a special livery for the event after Williams. Last year the team secured victory at Silverstone with Lando Norris.
