Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar said the Congress government has created 67,763 government jobs in Telangana over the past two years while responding to criticism from the BRS.
Minister for SC and ST Welfare Adluri Laxman Kumar stated that unemployed youth carried only hall tickets and faced paper leaks under the previous BRS regime. He noted that they now receive appointment letters under the Congress government.
The minister reported that 67,763 jobs have been filled in the last two years, with recruitment for 13,197 more posts in final stages. Through the Telangana Public Service Commission, appointments include 562 Group-I posts, 783 Group-II posts, 1,370 Group-III posts and 8,143 Group-IV posts.
Additional recruitments cover 10,006 teachers via Mega DSC, 16,067 police positions and 8,822 health department roles. The government raised the upper age limit for applicants from 34 to 44 years.
