Luna recounted: “I heard the horn blasts and saw him on the tracks” and said “I didn't hesitate” as he ran to rescue him. A photo shows the officer with the boy afterward. The boy's mother described the moment: she was “just getting up” and preparing breakfast when it happened. “I didn't know how to react,” she said.
