The company SEMAPP completed the installation of 2,000 meters of networks and 48 posts on Los Guaduales Avenue and 17th Street in Pitalito. The project aims to improve energy efficiency and citizen security.
SEMAPP, with seven years of experience in Pitalito public lighting, carried out the plan through projects funded by the public lighting tax. The intervention included tree pruning to improve visibility.
Juan Carlos Cardoso, a resident of the area, said his sales increased thanks to the better lighting. “Previously, the lights were much dimmer because of the trees as well, but they did that pruning work and it became more visible for the sector”, he stated.
Yineth Perdomo, president of the Los Guaduales neighborhood community board, noted that the change had been awaited for a long time. “The impact has been positive... I invite you to enjoy our avenue at night”, she said.
