서울 서대문경찰서는 지난 금요일 싸이와 매니저, 처방한 의사 등 6명을 의료법 위반 혐의로 검찰에 송치했다고 밝혔다. 싸이의 본명은 박재상이며 2022년부터 2025년까지 서울 소재 대학병원에서 비대면 진료로 자낙스와 스틸녹스를 처방받은 것으로 조사됐다.
현행법상 환자 본인이 직접 진료를 받아야 처방약을 수령할 수 있으며 위반 시 1년 이하 징역 또는 1천만 원 이하 벌금에 처해진다. 자낙스와 스틸녹스는 수면장애와 불안장애 치료에 쓰이는 약물로 대면 진료가 의무화돼 있다.
싸이의 소속사 P Nation은 “수면제 대리 수령 관련 의료법 위반 조사 종결됐으며 검찰 조사에 적극 협조하겠다”고 밝혔다.
