Son of Mango founder arrested over father's death

Police in Spain arrested Jonathan Andic, son of Mango clothing chain founder Isak Andic, on suspicion of involvement in his father's death during a hike in December 2024, reopening a case that had initially been treated as an accident.

Authorities took the 45-year-old vice chairman of the Mango board into custody on Tuesday and brought him to court facilities in Martorell, east of Barcelona. Jonathan Andic was the only witness when his father, 71, fell from a cliff in the Montserrat mountains near the city. The case, which had initially been closed as an accident, was reopened in March 2025 and later reclassified as a possible homicide investigation.
