The company stated in a post on X, translated from Korean to English: "This project aims to develop AI chip architecture that will achieve the highest production volume in the world in the future."

Tesla is looking for talented individuals to join as AI Chip Design Engineers. Interested applicants should email their resumes to Ai_Chips@tesla.com and include details on the three most challenging technical problems they have solved.

This recruitment is part of Tesla's wider efforts to enhance its custom chip production. The company has recently hired silicon module process engineers in Austin and Palo Alto, focusing on areas like lithography and etching.

Additionally, Tesla has pledged about $2 billion to xAI in its Series E funding round, underscoring its commitment to AI advancements.
