The Tragically Hip, Feist, Loverboy songwriters Mike Reno and Paul Dean, and Roch Voisine have been selected as 2026 inductees to the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. The group will be honored at a ceremony on September 26 at Massey Hall in Toronto. The event, presented by Amazon Music, will feature performances and tributes.
The Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame (CSHF) announced its 2026 inductees, all platinum-selling and award-winning artists. The Tragically Hip have sold over 14 million albums worldwide and won 17 Juno Awards, including the Humanitarian Award at the 50th Juno Awards. They received a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2002 and further recognition in 2022 for humanitarian efforts in social and environmental justice. Feist, Mike Reno and Paul Dean of Loverboy, and Roch Voisine join them as inductees, as first reported by Billboard on May 1, 2026. Performers and guests for the ceremony will be announced soon. The event will be livestreamed globally on the Amazon Music channel on Twitch and streamed across Canada on Prime Video. In a statement, The Tragically Hip expressed gratitude for the honor while noting its bittersweet nature. “We’re excited to be entering the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame and joining previous inductees, as well as this year’s, whose songs we greatly admire,” the band said. “It is humbling to be in their company; although it is bittersweet that our bandmate, lyricist and dear friend, Gord Downie, will not be standing with us.”
