Transition of three CPTM lines to Trivia Trens begins

The transition phase for CPTM lines 11-coral, 12-safira and 13-jade, including the Expresso Aeroporto, to Trivia Trens began on Thursday in São Paulo. The concessionaire will assume full control only in July 2027 after one year of supervision.

The transition began on May 21, 2026, when Trivia Trens staff started direct contact with daily operations. Control remains with CPTM, the state company under Governor Tarcísio de Freitas, until July 21, when assisted operation starts.

The three lines carried nearly 20 million passengers in March. More than 700 hours of training were completed to prepare the concessionaire team, according to Paulo Ferreira, director of operations and maintenance at Trivia Trens.

Trivia Trens is controlled by Comporte Participações, a holding created by Nenê Constantino from the founding family of Gol airline. Over the 25-year concession, R$ 14.3 billion in investments are planned for infrastructure upgrades and modernization.
