Visfestival in Västervik kicks off with sold-out evenings

The Visfestival in Västervik begins on Thursday with three sold-out music evenings at Stegeholms slottsruin.

The festival continues even as many other Swedish music festivals have closed down. Festival general Calle Åstrand notes that sold-out evenings have become common in recent years.

"It is great fun that we sell out. We have actually done that the last few years", says Åstrand.

This year’s lineup includes artists such as Weeping Willows, Pernilla Andersson, Chris Kläfford and Simon Superti.
