Eskilstuna United discovered that the new artificial turf pitch at Tunavallen was delivered with incorrect dimensions. The municipality has contacted the supplier to correct the error.
The pitch was supposed to measure 105 by 68 meters but instead measured 105 by 65 meters. The club noticed the error after the summer break when the equipment manager inspected the surface.
Eskilstuna United has trained at Fröslunda IP while a temporary solution was prepared. Coach Rickard Johansson says a permanent fix will be ready before the club's first competitive match.
Municipal area manager Mattias Albers states that an order was mishandled due to a misunderstanding. The incident is still under investigation to determine what happened and who is responsible.
