Swedish rapper Yung Lean has released his first new songs since 2025's Jonatan album, featured in a short film directed by Romain Gavras. The two-track single, created with French producer Gener8ion, accompanies the film set in 2034. The tracks are now available on streaming services.
Yung Lean stars in the short film Storm Pt. I & II, directed by Romain Gavras and set in a futuristic 2034 primary school. There, Lean appears alongside a group of sharply dressed but mischievous young students. The soundtrack includes two new collaborations with producer Gener8ion, marking Lean's first releases since his May 2025 album Jonatan and as first reported by Pitchfork on April 24, 2026. The single dropped simultaneously with the film's debut and is streaming worldwide. The film is available to watch online. Lean had supported Jonatan with an extensive tour, announced soon after the premiere of his Live at Globen concert film. That recording captured an arena performance in his hometown of Stockholm, featuring surprise appearances by Drain Gang affiliates including Yung Sherman, Gud, Bladee, Ecco2k, and Thaiboy Digital. In September 2025, Lean also released the collaboration 'Inferno' with Bladee.
