Bizarrap and J Balvin release BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 62

Argentine producer Bizarrap and Colombian singer J Balvin have collaborated on a new track, "BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 62," which dropped on Friday following a Christmas tease. The song arrives with a video showing Balvin in a blue-lit studio alongside Bizarrap. This marks another entry in Bizarrap's acclaimed series of high-profile partnerships.

Bizarrap and J Balvin teased their collaboration on Christmas Day via Instagram, sharing a photo of themselves holding sneakers like phones with the caption: “BZRP Music Session #62. MAÑANA. feliz navidad.” The track, titled “BZRP Music Sessions, Vol. 62,” was released on Friday, accompanied by a video featuring Balvin singing in a studio bathed in blue light next to the producer.

Bizarrap's Music Sessions series has built a reputation for spotlighting top talent, with past collaborations including Mexican star Peso Pluma and Shakira. The producer's session with Shakira, Vol. 53, set records according to Guinness World Records, amassing 14.4 million streams in a single day and 80.6 million in a week. It also propelled Shakira to new milestones, breaking the record for most Top 10 hits by a female artist on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs and Latin Airplay charts.

The series has also boosted Latina rappers, featuring artists like Snow Tha Product, Villano Antillano, Ptazeta, and Nathy Peluso. More recently, in May, Bizarrap released Vol. 60 with rising Dominican rapper Lismar.

For J Balvin, the release caps a busy year. He wrapped the North American leg of his Back to the Rayo tour on May 17 at the Moda Center in Portland, after kicking it off on March 20 at Atlanta's State Farm Arena. In July, shortly after performing at the halftime show of the FIFA Club World Cup final in New Jersey, Balvin dropped the mixtape Mixteip, succeeding his sixth studio album, Rayo.
