Independent music company Concord announced a strategic partnership with Lito Music on June 4. The alliance aims to expand Concord's presence in Latin music and reggaetón.
Concord announced the deal with Lito Music, the company founded by Latin rap pioneer Lito MC Cassidy. The partnership combines Lito’s expertise with Concord’s global infrastructure to build a record label focused on artist development and catalog value.Lito MC Cassidy said the move reflects his current focus on developing new talent and advancing established artists into the mainstream. He noted his background as half of the Puerto Rican hip-hop duo Lito & Polaco, which helped shape reggaetón in the early 1990s.Tom Becci, chief executive of Concord Label Group, described the initiative as a way to partner with cultural leaders and strengthen the company’s Latin music operations. The first signings and releases under the partnership will be announced soon.
