Foreign Minister calls for joint innovative solutions to climate change

Foreign Affairs Minister Gedion Timothewos urged countries to jointly implement new innovative solutions during London Climate Action Week.

Gedion Timothewos opened trading at the London Stock Exchange on June 15 during the launch of London Climate Action Week. He noted that worsening climate change demands an urgent coordinated global response.

The United Kingdom is experiencing one of its hottest weeks on record, he said, underscoring that no single country can resolve the crisis alone. Officials, experts and stakeholders at the event were called on to prepare practical new solutions with worldwide impact.

The minister stressed the need to combine resources, shared knowledge and commitment to develop strategies that support sustainable development everywhere.
