Außenminister fordert gemeinsame innovative Lösungen für den Klimawandel

Außenminister Gedion Timothewos rief während der London Climate Action Week dazu auf, weltweit neue innovative Lösungen gemeinsam umzusetzen.

Gedion Timothewos eröffnete am 15. Juni zum Auftakt der London Climate Action Week den Handel an der Londoner Börse. Er betonte, dass der sich verschlechternde Klimawandel eine dringende und koordinierte globale Antwort erfordere. Das Vereinigte Königreich erlebe derzeit eine der heißesten Wochen seit Beginn der Aufzeichnungen, was unterstreiche, dass kein einzelnes Land die Krise allein bewältigen könne. Beamte, Experten und Interessenvertreter wurden dazu aufgerufen, praxisnahe neue Lösungen mit weltweiter Wirkung zu erarbeiten. Der Minister betonte die Notwendigkeit, Ressourcen, Wissen und Engagement zu bündeln, um Strategien zu entwickeln, die eine nachhaltige Entwicklung überall unterstützen.
