The sci-fi film Hope has topped the Korean weekend box office and passed 3 million admissions since its release earlier this month.
The sci-fi film Hope added 767,365 admissions over the weekend, bringing its total to 3,415,709 as of Sunday, according to data from the Korean Film Council.
The movie, which competed at this year's Cannes Film Festival, marks director Na Hong-jin's return after The Wailing in 2016. It stars Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung, Jung Ho-yeon, Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander.
Other top performers included Minions & Monsters at No. 2, the live-action Moana at No. 3 and Toy Story 5 at No. 4.
