An Idaho mother has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of her 18-month-old twins more than a year after they were found dead.
Andrea Shaw, 23, was arrested Tuesday in Ada County on two counts of first-degree murder. The charges stem from the deaths of her sons, Tyson and Dallas, who were discovered unresponsive in their shared bed at a trailer park in Payette, Idaho, on May 1, 2025.
Shaw has publicly attributed the deaths to vaccines the twins received during a routine pediatric visit on April 23, 2025. She appeared on an anti-vaccine podcast and stated that the children fell ill shortly afterward. Her defense attorney, Joe Filicetti, said doctors he consulted linked the deaths to a vaccine reaction.
Police responded to the home after a call about a possible deceased child. An autopsy was conducted, but results have not been released. Shaw's arraignment is scheduled for July 14 in Payette County, where she will be extradited from Ada County Jail.
