Kemendikdasmen implements e-rapor to prevent mark up of grades in SPMB

The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has introduced e-Rapor filled each semester to prevent inflated student report card grades in the SPMB achievement track. The measure includes incentives of additional SNBP quotas for compliant schools.

Director General of Early Childhood, Primary, and Nonformal and Informal Education Gogot Suharwoto said e-Rapor data will serve as the main source of grades for the SPMB achievement track. Filling the system each semester reduces risks of entry errors and mark-up practices, Gogot stated on Thursday in Central Jakarta.

The ministry has locked student capacity quotas in the dapodik portal since local governments set the first technical guidelines. Schools cannot change the numbers, preventing seat trading. "So there is no such thing as selling seats, there isn't," Gogot stressed.

The public is asked to report violations through the Integrated Service Unit. Reports will be forwarded to the inspectorates general and regional for follow-up, including to authorities if evidence exists. Universities offer incentives of 10 to 20 percent additional SNBP quotas for schools that fill e-Rapor completely.
