KoRn debuts 'Reward The Scars' live to 50,000 at Sick New World

KoRn performed their new song 'Reward The Scars' for the first time live before a 50,000-strong crowd at the Sick New World festival in Las Vegas. The track, surprise-released last week, marks the band's first new music in four years and ties to the Diablo IV expansion Lord Of Hatred. Frontman Jonathan Davis introduced it after fan favorites during their headline set on April 25.

The nu-metal band took the stage for a 17-song headline performance at the Las Vegas festival, opening with classics like 'Blind', 'Twist' and 'Got The Life'. Midway through, Davis addressed the audience: “I know it’s been a long-ass day, but it feels so good to be back playing for y’all.” He continued, “We’ve been out touring shit a little bit, but we’ve been stuck in a fucking studio for five years. We’ve been working hard. We had some good shit. We got rid of that, and then we made some badass shit. Would you guys like to hear that song? It just came out.” The band then launched into the ferocious track, featuring thunderous bass and guitar riffs and an anthemic chorus: “Help me free the ones I saved/ And I can walk the path that’s laid/ Break me, take me all the way soul betrayed.” Produced by Nick Raskulinecz, who collaborated on their 2016 album The Serenity Of Suffering, 'Reward The Scars' arrived on April 24 alongside a gory animated video. Guitarist Brian ‘Head’ Welch had teased new material earlier this year in a Loudwire interview, noting potential surprises for 2026 despite a live-show focus. KoRn topped the bill alongside System Of A Down and Bring Me The Horizon. The set precedes tours in South America next month and Europe in October, including UK dates starting in Leeds on October 26 with support from Architects and Youth Code.
