ODM Nairobi leaders urge members to skip Saba Saba protests

Some ODM leaders in Nairobi County have urged their supporters not to join the Saba Saba protests planned for Monday. Speaking on Sunday, the leaders said dialogue is the way to address national challenges rather than demonstrations.

Makadara MP George Aladwa, who chairs ODM in Nairobi County, said no party member would be used to cause chaos. He noted that all are part of the inclusive government and will not take to the streets for the Saba Saba protests.

Aladwa called on Interior Minister Kipchumba Murkomen and Principal Secretary Dr Raymond Omollo to safeguard national peace. He defended Omollo and said the official should continue serving until 2027 without interference.

The leaders stressed the importance of press freedom and expressed support for Dr Oburu Oginga in ODM leadership.
