The filing described the proposals as 'legally improper and factually unsupported,' as first reported by Bloomberg. Musk amended his complaint earlier this month to direct any damages to OpenAI's nonprofit arm and to seek the removal of CEO Sam Altman from his role and board position. The original lawsuit, filed by Musk in 2024, alleged that OpenAI abandoned its nonprofit mission by becoming for-profit with Microsoft's backing. OpenAI and Microsoft have denied any wrongdoing. Musk is seeking between $79 billion and $134 billion in wrongful gains. The trial remains set to start on April 27.
