Valor Mortis shifts release to October 13

One More Level has moved the release of Valor Mortis from September 24 to October 13 to avoid a crowded month ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6.

The studio behind Ghostrunner announced the change on June 11. Valor Mortis is now scheduled for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC on October 13.

September has become absolutely stacked with incredible looking games, the studio said. We knew this was a possibility, but when you are in a partner showcase as we were, dates get locked weeks in advance. We want to give Valor Mortis and your wallet some room to breathe.

The team will use the extra time to incorporate feedback from a newly released Steam demo that features two chapters and a steeper difficulty curve in its second level.

Valor Mortis is a first-person Soulslike set in an alternate-history 19th century during the Napoleonic Wars, where players control a soldier revived amid a supernatural plague.
