Den 31. mars kunngjorde Trafikverket at de har tildelt det spanske selskapet Talgo en kontrakt for 10 lokomotiver og 91 vogner til nye nattog. Togene skal erstatte nåværende tog på strekningen mellom Stockholm og Narvik fra 2030. Avtalen har en verdi på 5,5 milliarder kroner.
