Ali Modu Sheriff afirma que o eleitorado do Norte não votará em Obi

Ali Modu Sheriff, ex-governador do estado de Borno, declarou na segunda-feira que Peter Obi não pode vencer a eleição presidencial de 2027 porque os nortistas não o apoiarão.

Em entrevista ao programa Politics Today da Channels Television, o líder do All Progressives Congress descartou as chances de Obi sob o Nigeria Democratic Congress. Ele afirmou que os eleitores do norte continuam sendo contra o ex-governador de Anambra.

“Não estou preocupado com Peter Obi porque sei que os nortistas nunca votarão nele”, disse Sheriff. Ele alegou que Obi expulsou nortistas de Anambra durante seu governo e afirmou que os apoiadores de Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso rejeitam qualquer aliança com Obi.

Sheriff defendeu o histórico de segurança do presidente Bola Tinubu e pediu reformas na polícia estadual. Ele acrescentou que a presidência deve permanecer no Sul até 2031 para manter o equilíbrio regional após a guerra civil.
