A Anthropic levantou US$ 65 bilhões em nova rodada de financiamento e alcançou avaliação de US$ 900 bilhões, superando a OpenAI.

A startup de inteligência artificial, criadora do chatbot Claude, concluiu a captação liderada por Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks e Sequoia Capital. A avaliação de US$ 900 bilhões supera os US$ 852 bilhões da OpenAI.

A empresa reportou receita anualizada acima de US$ 47 bilhões neste mês, crescimento de mais de cinco vezes desde o início do ano. Três meses antes, havia captado US$ 30 bilhões a uma avaliação de US$ 350 bilhões.

Entre os novos investidores estão Micron, Samsung e SK Hynix. A Anthropic também fechou acordos com SpaceX, Google, Broadcom e Amazon.

A empresa lançou hoje a versão Opus 4.8 do Claude, descrita como mais honesta. O CEO Dario Amodei lidera a companhia, que planeja usar o capital para ampliar capacidade computacional.
