Belarra anuncia candidatura para as eleições regionais de Madri em 2027

A secretária-geral do Podemos, Ione Belarra, anunciou no sábado que liderará a lista do partido nas eleições regionais de maio de 2027 para a Comunidade de Madri.

Belarra fez o anúncio durante o evento Fiesta de la Primavera do Podemos, realizado no Círculo de Bellas Artes, em Madri. A líder do partido criticou tanto o PSOE quanto o Más Madrid por não oferecerem uma alternativa forte à presidente regional Isabel Díaz Ayuso.

A secretária-geral justificou sua decisão afirmando que “esta luta deve ser travada com muito mais força” e que ela se candidata “com toda humildade, mas também com toda determinação”. O objetivo é recuperar assentos na Assembleia de Madri, perdidos em 2023 após o partido não atingir a cláusula de barreira de 5% dos votos.

Belarra segue o caminho de seu antecessor, Pablo Iglesias, que tentou sem sucesso derrotar Ayuso em 2021. Atualmente, o partido não possui nenhum assento na câmara regional.
