Bestselling author Chris Enss visits Sharlot Hall Museum

The Sharlot Hall Museum in Prescott, Arizona, has announced its next Author Series event featuring Chris Enss, a historian who has spent more than three decades documenting the stories of women in the American Old West. Enss's presentation will focus on the courage and contributions of these women, who have often been overlooked in historical accounts.

Enss has published over 50 works and received several awards for her scholarship, including nine Will Rogers Medallion Awards, two Elmer Kelton Book Awards, the Oklahoma Center for the Book Award, and the Willa Cather Award for Scholarly Nonfiction from Women Writing the West. Among her notable books are "Daughters of Daring: Hollywood Cowgirl Stunt Women," "According to Kate: The Legendary Life of Big Nose Kate, Love of Doc Holliday," and "Entertaining Women: Actresses, Dancers, and Singers of the Old West."
