Big Freedia will release a three-track EP recorded with the late producer SOPHIE in 2016. The project is scheduled for release on June 19 without a title or tracklist confirmed yet. The lead single, the previously unreleased track Blaze That Ass, arrives on May 22.
Big Freedia recorded the material during sessions with SOPHIE in 2016. The EP features the fan favorite Blaze That Ass, which circulated for years through leaks and recordings from SOPHIE’s DJ sets. The artist described the collaboration in a press release as deeply personal following SOPHIE’s passing and said it highlights how loved the producer remains today.
