Borlänge residents David and Erik travel cheaply to the World Cup

Friends Erik Östby and David Eriksson from Borlänge have booked a trip to the World Cup in Texas for about 14,500 kronor each.

The two friends stood in the stands during the playoff match against Poland and immediately decided to book tickets. They fly from Borlänge via Arlanda, Helsingfors and Chicago to Texas. The flight cost around 10,000 kronor per person and accommodation for eight nights was arranged for 4,500 kronor per person. A third friend who could not take part in the interview handled the travel planning. 'It is just a matter of thanking him for having such good control of everything', says Erik Östby. If the booking had been made later in June the costs could have exceeded 80,000 kronor according to calculations from Länsförsäkringar.
