BRI becomes Indonesia's most valuable brand in Global 500 2026

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) has entered Brand Finance's Global 500 2026 list as Indonesia's top brand and 369th globally. The achievement, announced in Kuala Lumpur, is linked to BRI's corporate rebranding. CEO Hery Gunardi dedicated the recognition to customers and staff.

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) has joined Brand Finance's Global 500 2026 list, a ranking from the London-based brand valuation consultant. BRI ranks first in Indonesia and 369th worldwide, alongside brands like Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and YouTube. Eleven ASEAN brands, including BRI, made the list.

BRI CEO Hery Gunardi said the achievement reflects the brand's strength and public trust in its services. "We dedicate this global recognition to all loyal BRI customers and Insan BRILiaN who have given their best contributions," he stated on April 9, 2026.

Under the BRIVolution Reignite transformation, BRI launched a corporate rebranding in December 2025 with the slogan "One Bank for All". The update includes refreshed visual identity and enhanced services, while emphasizing closeness to the public, especially SMEs.

Brand Finance evaluates brand strength per ISO 20671 standards, considering marketing investment, stakeholder equity, and business performance. Brand Finance Asia Pacific Managing Director Alex Haigh noted that banking dominates ASEAN brands on the list, including BRI, DBS, OCBC Bank, and Maybank.
