Bruce Springsteen joins Bon Jovi onstage at Madison Square Garden

Bruce Springsteen joined Bon Jovi for two songs during the final night of the band's nine-show residency at Madison Square Garden on July 26.

Jon Bon Jovi introduced Springsteen to the crowd as "the king of the great state of New Jersey" and welcomed him as a friend and brother. The pair performed "Who Says You Can't Go Home" from Bon Jovi's 2005 album Have a Nice Day, trading vocals, followed by Springsteen's 1978 track "The Promised Land."

The two musicians locked arms and raised their guitars for a group bow at the end of the show. This appearance followed recent collaborations, including Jon Bon Jovi's guest spots at Springsteen's events last month.

Bon Jovi had cut short a July 23 Madison Square Garden concert due to a sinus infection but confirmed full recovery from earlier vocal cord surgery. The band's tour continues with dates in Edinburgh, Dublin and London starting August 28.
