Criador de gado Santiago Barrero San Román morre após ser chifrado por touro em Beas de Segura

O criador de gado Santiago Barrero San Román, de 33 anos, morreu na tarde de sexta-feira em Beas de Segura (Jaén) após ser chifrado por um touro durante as festividades dos touros ensogados de San Marcos.

Santiago Barrero San Román, proprietário da fazenda Toros de San Román junto com sua esposa Vanesa, sofreu ferimentos graves por volta das 19h quando um touro o atingiu durante o evento dos touros ensogados, declarado de Interesse Turístico da Andaluzia.

Os ferimentos abdominais, inguinais e torácicos foram tão graves que, apesar da intervenção urgente na tenda médica na esplanada de San Marcos, a equipe não conseguiu estabilizá-lo. Ele morreu por volta das 20h enquanto era transferido para um hospital, conforme relatado pela Irmandade de San Marcos e pela Prefeitura de Beas de Segura.

A Associação de Criadores de Gado de Lidia expressou pesar nas redes sociais: “Lamentamos profundamente anunciar a triste perda do nosso jovem criador Santiago Barrero San Román, que morreu hoje, 24 de abril, após uma chifrada fatal em Beas de Segura.” A Associação El Toro de Madrid também enviou condolências à família.

Barrero era neto do criador Antonio San Román e havia fundado sua fazenda em 2022 com gado da linhagem Torrestrella em Villamanrique (Ciudad Real). Os eventos de sexta-feira foram suspensos, mas as atividades de sábado seguirão com um minuto de silêncio em sua memória.
