Catcher Iván Herrera singled to tie the game after rookie second baseman JJ Wetherholt was hit by a pitch. Right fielder Jordan Walker followed with a double that scored the go-ahead run. Closer Riley O’Brien then pitched a scoreless bottom of the ninth for the save, completing a seven-game road trip with a series victory for St. Louis.
