From July 1, halved prices apply to Dalatrafik monthly passes in Dalarna. The price of a 30-day pass drops from 1,255 kronor to 627 kronor.
The reduction is part of a government initiative with 6.5 billion kronor in support to the regions. It applies to tickets purchased between July 1 and December 1, 2026.
The opposition has criticized the initiative as temporary and not permanent. Criticism has also focused on the fact that it did not come earlier.
On the first day, some travelers had problems activating their new passes. Dalatrafik urges those affected to activate the ticket on board a bus or contact customer service.
