Dhurandhar: The Revenge sets North American record for Indian films

The Bollywood action film Dhurandhar: The Revenge has broken the record for the highest-grossing Indian movie in North America. It earned $4.9 million in its second weekend across 987 screens, reaching a cumulative total of $22.9 million. The movie ranked No. 4 at the box office.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge stars Ranveer Singh as an undercover agent in Pakistan. The film maintained a strong position in its second weekend, a rarity for Indian releases. It boasts a 95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes from over 1,000 ratings, surpassing the previous record set by Baahubali 2: The Conclusion in 2017, according to Deadline's box office report.
