Ella Langley credits faith for personal recovery at concert

Country singer Ella Langley spoke openly about her faith during a stop on the Dandelion Tour in Oklahoma City. The 27-year-old addressed fans about overcoming struggles and finding purpose through God.

During the June 18 show at Zoo Amphitheatre, Langley told the crowd she reads the Bible almost every day. She said she now turns to God instead of past coping mechanisms.

"Instead of trying to go to other things like I have before — either men or drugs or other feelings — to try and make myself feel a certain way, I go to him first," she said while pointing upward.

Langley reflected on a difficult period last year when she did not think she wanted to be here anymore. She credited God with changing her outlook and giving her a sense of purpose to share her story, write songs, and perform.

She encouraged the audience to focus on their "one North Star" each day. Langley has achieved chart success with multiple top 10 hits and a number one album.
