Elon Musk has publicly attacked the casting of Elliot Page and Lupita Nyong’o in Christopher Nolan’s upcoming adaptation of The Odyssey. The $250 million film is scheduled for release on July 17.
Musk has posted dozens of times on his platform criticizing the inclusion of the actors, with Page reportedly set to play Achilles’ Ghost and Nyong’o as Helen of Troy. He has praised the 2004 film Troy and shared an AI-generated image mocking Page while agreeing with comments from Matt Walsh on similar casting issues. Musk has also suggested the choices were made to meet Academy standards for Oscar eligibility.
