ESX welcomes Prime Capital as eighth trading member

The Ethiopian Securities Exchange has inducted Prime Capital Investment Bank as its eighth licensed trading member during a ceremony on the trading floor.

The induction followed Prime Capital’s receipt of an operational license from the Ethiopian Capital Market Authority. Habib Mohammed, CEO of Prime Capital Investment Bank, said during the event, “We are proud to become a trading member of the Ethiopian Securities Exchange and to contribute to the process of building a modern, transparent, and inclusive capital market.”

Tilahun Esmael, CEO of the Ethiopian Securities Exchange, stated that the addition shows the capital market is growing steadily. He noted that a strong and credible market serves as a pillar for a modern economy.

Prime Capital has invested in technological infrastructure and compliance systems. The firm plans to offer brokerage services, capital raising support, and strategic advisory including merger and acquisition assistance.
