Färjestad BK has recorded stronger sales of season tickets ahead of the new season compared with the previous year. The improvement follows several roster changes, including the return of Marcus Johansson from the NHL.
Sales of season tickets at Färjestad have started well and are ahead of last year's figures. Tickets have also been purchased earlier than in previous seasons.
Club communications chief Malin Abrahamsson told NWT that new signings appear to have attracted buyers. She noted that last season was the first in four years when the club missed its sales target.
The biggest roster change is Johansson's homecoming to Karlstad after several years in the NHL. Abrahamsson said a so-called "Mojo" effect on sales cannot be ruled out.
Single tickets for the first three home games have also gone on sale, with strong interest reported especially for the SHL season opener. Members received priority access, a measure the club plans to repeat in August.
