Four teenagers missing after being swept away in Yamuna

Four teenagers went missing while bathing in the Yamuna River on Sunday evening, with search operations ongoing.

Police received a call around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday from Hiranki village in Delhi's Outer North district. Five boys aged 14 to 15 had gone to bathe in the river when strong currents swept four of them away. One boy raised an alarm, but locals who rushed to help could not reach them in time.

Teams from the National Disaster Response Force, Delhi Disaster Management Authority, Delhi Fire Services and Delhi Police began search efforts that evening. An officer stated that all possible efforts are being made to trace the missing children.

The incident occurred in the Yamuna near Hiranki village, and the boys are feared dead.
