Gunzilla Games CEO Vlad Korolev dismissed accusations from former and current employees about unpaid wages in a lengthy Twitter post on April 9. He acknowledged payment delays for some contractors but insisted full-time staff have always been paid promptly. The response followed claims of months-long back pay owed to workers on the NFT battle royale Off the Grid.
Earlier this week, multiple former and current Gunzilla employees posted online that the company owes them months of back pay and has stopped communicating with them. Former senior VFX animator Paul Creamer stated he worked without payment from October to December 2025, despite assurances from upper management, including a call with Korolev promising quick resolution and claiming the company was profitable. Creamer said, “I foolishly worked for 3 extra months... with assurances that delays in payment would be resolved.”
