Após alertas iniciais de chuvas fortes de 27 a 29 de dezembro, o Departamento de Meteorologia do Quênia prevê chuvas moderadas a fortes persistindo hoje (29 de dezembro) e amanhã (30 de dezembro de 2025) em 13 condados, incluindo Nairóbi. A intensidade deve diminuir amanhã, disse o diretor-adjunto Kennedy Thiong’o.

Esta atualização complementa o alerta de 27 de dezembro para mais de 20 mm de chuvas nas áreas sudeste, espalhando-se para 13 condados. Áreas afetadas: Migori, Homa Bay, Kisii, Narok, Kajiado, Makueni, Machakos, Nairóbi, Kericho, Bomet, sul de Kitui, Taita Taveta e Kwale.

"As chuvas de amanhã serão fortes, mas diminuirão ao longo do dia", afirmou Thiong’o. O departamento monitorará riscos e emitirá alertas. Agências de emergência permanecem em alerta após a recente seca.
