Hong Kong's M+ museum signs five-year deal with Centre Pompidou

Hong Kong's M+ museum has signed a five-year partnership with Paris's Centre Pompidou to exhibit collections together and exchange research and talent.

On Friday, M+ museum director Suhanya Raffel and Centre Pompidou president Laurent Le Bon signed a memorandum of understanding at the M+ museum. French Consul General Christile Drulhe witnessed the ceremony.

Raffel said this is the first time Hong Kong collections will go to Paris in this way. She added that building the joint exhibition will take time to create something neither institution could achieve alone.

The major exhibition will first be staged in Paris at the Centre Pompidou after its five-year renovation, around 2029 or 2030, before moving to the M+ with a focus on visual culture in France and China.
