Katrineholm students wrongly labeled volunteers in Aftonbladet investigation

Construction students at Katrineholms tekniska college were incorrectly identified as volunteers in Aftonbladet’s investigation of Birgitta Ed. Rector David Rytter criticised the claims, which have since been corrected.

In Aftonbladet’s investigation of the foundation behind Vängården Fållökna, the students from Katrineholms tekniska college were said to have been hired as volunteers to build outdoor furniture. Rector David Rytter clarified that the school charges for materials and transport, just as for other assignments. The work is carried out as part of the education without any extra labour cost. After contact from the school, Aftonbladet removed the reference to volunteers. Jonathan Jeppsson, investigative and society editor at Aftonbladet, confirmed that the text had been changed following the school’s request. SVT Nyheter Sörmland has sought comment from Birgitta Ed.
