Lucas Garrett and Shannon Tehya host double release show at Strand Theatre

Two Capital Region artists, Lucas Garrett and Shannon Tehya, will celebrate their new music releases with a co-bill performance at the Strand Theatre in Hudson Falls on Friday evening. Garrett's album 'Bad Karma' and Tehya's single 'Renegades' headline the event, with tickets including a free copy of Garrett's record. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

The Strand Theatre in Hudson Falls is set to host a double release show featuring local talents Lucas Garrett and Shannon Tehya. This event marks the celebration of Garrett's latest album, 'Bad Karma,' and Tehya's new single, 'Renegades.'

Lucas Garrett, a contributing writer for Spot 518, opens the evening backed by bassist Thom Carvey. His songwriting draws from influences ranging from the Beatles to Phoebe Bridgers, establishing him as a seasoned performer in the region. Attendees purchasing tickets will receive a complimentary copy of 'Bad Karma.'

Shannon Tehya closes the night, described as a feminist pop force in the Capital Region. She performs with her five-piece band, blending elements of pop, funk, jazz, and R&B in her music. The show highlights her latest release, 'Renegades.'

Ticket prices are $15 for balcony seats and $20 for floor seating. The venue is located at 210 Main St. in Hudson Falls, and more details are available at mystrandtheatre.org.

In addition, the Strand Theatre has another event scheduled for Sunday at 3 p.m.: a matinee tribute concert titled 'The Spacemen — A Tribute to Ace Frehley.' This performance features classic songs from KISS and Frehley's solo career, performed by guest vocalist Mike Leonard alongside ten area guitarists—Scott Bently, Matt LaFarr, Jonathan Newell, Marc Vincent, Scotty Mac, Scotty Bently, Max LaFarr, Evan Newell, Don Lackey, and Darren Schillaci—supported by drummer Todd Hanhurst and bassist Steve Hymowech.
