Madbouly inspects decent life projects in Qalyubeya

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly conducted an inspection tour of development projects under the Decent Life initiative in Shebin El-Qanater villages, Qalyubeya, to improve living standards and services in rural areas. The visit covered technological, medical, cultural, and veterinary facilities. Madbouly emphasized the state's commitment to comprehensive and sustainable services.

The tour began with a visit to the Technological Center in Tahanoub village, where Madbouly reviewed services provided to citizens. Deputy Governor Eman Rayan explained that the center is one of nine integrated service complexes in Shebin El-Qanater, functioning as a one-stop hub for government and civil services, which eases access for residents of Tahanoub and nearby villages and reduces travel to urban areas. She noted its support for Egypt's Vision 2030 digital transformation by moving from paper-based to fully automated procedures. The facility includes a local administrative unit, food subsidy office, civil registry, real estate registry, modern post office, and social affairs office. Completed at a cost of about EGP 9 million, it is fully operational.

Madbouly then inspected the Family Medicine Center in Tahanoub, built during the initiative's first phase. He stated that health projects under the initiative demonstrate the state's dedication to comprehensive and sustainable healthcare, especially in underserved regions. Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar highlighted implementation through an integrated system that involves constructing and upgrading hospitals and units, equipping medical sites, and creating specialized centers, as seen in the Tahanoub facility. Undersecretary Osama El-Shalqani mentioned it as one of 24 completed healthcare projects in Shebin El-Qanater villages. The three-story center covers 850 square meters, has 58 rooms, and is staffed by 83 medical and administrative personnel. It offers family medicine, dental clinics, emergency care, pharmacy, labs, radiology, maternal and child health, and administrative services. Built for around EGP 60 million, Madbouly toured isolation rooms and clinics, assessed service quality, medicine availability, and citizen attendance.

Next, Madbouly visited the Misr Public Library in Shebin El-Qanater, reaffirming state support for youth- and child-focused cultural initiatives. He stressed libraries' crucial role in raising awareness, building skills, and advancing Egypt's human development strategy. Governor Ayman Attia described it as a significant cultural addition to the governorate, the second Misr Public Library there after Banha, with a third under construction in Shubra El-Kheima. Ambassador Reda El-Taify, director of the Misr Public Libraries Fund, said it is the 31st branch nationwide, part of a network of 34 libraries across 18 governorates plus 24 mobile ones. The three-floor library features children's and adults' reading halls, a computer lab, activity and training rooms, a cultural theater, creative learning spaces, and a modern digital library. Madbouly engaged with children and students, urging them to read broadly and deepen knowledge of Egypt's history and sciences.

The tour ended at the Veterinary Unit in Nowa village, another Decent Life project. Undersecretary Hany Shams El-Din of the Veterinary Directorate in Qalyubeya explained it as part of nine such projects in Shebin El-Qanater. The unit delivers integrated services like animal and poultry exams, vaccinations, artificial insemination, ultrasound diagnostics, free medical convoys, and a veterinary pharmacy. Spanning 425 square meters, it serves four villages and surrounding areas and is fully operational. Madbouly also examined services at the nearby agricultural complex, including farmer training on modern cultivation and safe pest control. The visit highlighted the government's ongoing dedication to the Decent Life initiative as a holistic rural development model, enhancing infrastructure and access to health, education, culture, and agriculture in Egypt's villages.
